Graphic Designer

Summary:
We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our publishing company.

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in the creation and development of visually appealing and engaging designs for various print and digital publications.

Your expertise in design software, keen eye for aesthetics, and ability to bring ideas to life will contribute to enhancing our brand identity and captivating our target audience.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the marketing and editorial teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Develop innovative and compelling designs for book covers, layouts, illustrations, and other marketing collateral.
Utilize design software and tools to create visually appealing graphics, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Incorporate typography, color theory, and layout principles to deliver high-quality designs.
Edit and retouch images to enhance their visual impact.
Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate creative ideas for marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
Stay updated with industry trends, design techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality.
Work closely with printers and other vendors to ensure the successful production and delivery of print materials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design consistency across various platforms and channels.
Meet project deadlines while managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in the publishing industry.
Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative design projects.
Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and layout.
Ability to translate conceptual ideas into visually compelling designs.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of prepress and print production processes.
Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and responsive design principles is a plus.
