We are looking for a young but mature Tooling Engineer who can help achieve our vision.


As a Tooling Engineer the primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement effective tooling solutions for the production and assembly of switchgear products.

You will play a vital role in improving manufacturing processes, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring high-quality standards. This position will require collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product design, production, and quality assurance.


Key Responsibilities:

Tooling Design and Development:

  • Design and develop tooling solutions, as well as jigs fixtures and gauges for the manufacturing and assembly of switchgear products, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and quality. This includes 3d modelling, 2d process drawings, getting the Tool manufactured from Vendors, Inspection, Assembly and trials.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of new tooling concepts and propose recommendations.
  • Collaborate with product design teams to ensure tooling requirements are integrated into product designs.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyse existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize tooling and manufacturing processes, aiming for increased productivity, reduced costs, and improved quality.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate process performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Tooling Maintenance and Support:

  • Establish maintenance programs for tooling equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and repair teams to schedule and execute preventive maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for toolingrelated issues during production.

Tooling Validation and Testing:

  • Conduct validation tests and trials to ensure the functionality and performance of new tooling designs.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish testing protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Analyse test data and provide recommendations for design improvements or modifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain accurate and uptodate documentation related to tooling designs, specifications, and procedures.
  • Generate reports on tooling performance, including key metrics, issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure proper documentation of process changes and updates.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies related to tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in tooling design, materials, and processes.
  • Participate in crossfunctional teams and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field. NTTF.Additional specialized training or certifications in tooling or manufacturing processes are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in tooling, jigs, fixtures and gauges design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience in switchgear or electrical product manufacturing/ assembly tooling.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for tooling design in 2D and 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, like
    EDM, Wire cut, VMC, Turning, various types of grinding, Heat treatments, surface finished etc. required for tool development.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance standards and methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills

Salary:
₹400, ₹500,000.00 per year
