Position Overview:


Responsibilities:


Automated Test Script Development:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools and frameworks. These scripts should cover functional, regression, and performance testing scenarios.


Test Planning and Strategy:

Collaborate with the QA team, developers, and product managers to create comprehensive test plans and strategies for different software projects.


Test Execution:
Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure adherence to quality standards.


Defect Identification and Reporting:
Clearly document defects and issues discovered during testing and ensure timely communication with the development team for resolution.


Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to facilitate continuous testing and delivery of software products.


Test Environment Setup:

Work closely with the infrastructure team to set up and maintain test environments, ensuring they are properly configured for testing purposes.


Test Data Management:
Create and manage test data to support automated test execution and ensure data integrity throughout the testing process.


Test Automation Framework Development:
Contribute to the improvement and evolution of the test automation framework to enhance efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.


Performance Testing:

Collaborate with performance testing teams to design and execute performance and load tests to ensure the software's stability and responsiveness.


Test Documentation:
Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, test results, and other relevant reports.


Collaboration and Teamwork:

Actively participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and reviews, providing valuable insights and constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the product.


Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience as an Automation Tester or similar role with a track record of successful automated test script development and execution.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript. Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, etc.).

Testing Knowledge: Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Familiarity with various types of testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

CI/CD and Version Control: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git) to integrate automated tests into the development workflow.

Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze test results, identify root causes, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented when creating test scripts and documenting defects.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Quality Advocate: Passionate about ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to end-users.


Preferred (but not mandatory):

Certifications: Relevant testing certifications, such as ISTQB Foundation Level or Certified Selenium Tester (CST).

Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry or domain in which the organization operates can be advantageous.
