Power Plant Supervisor in support of LOGCAP V.

Your Impact

  • Reports to Power Plant Manager
  • In absence of Power Plant Manager, Power Plant Supervisor would be highest project site level of oversite regarding power production and distribution operations to include electrical production efficiency, MV/LV electrical safety, documentation and record keeping
  • Assist with performing handson routine inspection, preventative maintenance, condition monitoring, troubleshoots, corrective and emergency repairs on generator sets and associated local control systems and SCADA system with computer servers and interface controllers in working order. Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts as required
  • Assist with performing handson electrical maintenance and repair of power production electrical and mechanical and auxiliary systems of power generation facilities operating at 585Mw and greater total output with diesel driven prime movers
  • Assist with performing hands on inspects, operates, and maintains the paralleling and main medium voltage switchgear systems, with local and remote monitor and metering capabilities, SCADA and PLC control systems, alarm response to ensure maximum system reliability
  • Assist with performing handson inspections, and tests fuel receiving and distribution system including tanks, pumps, leak detection, fuel distribution and inventory, scheduling orders, and reporting
  • Assists with inspections of operational activities for safety precautions and instructs employees against occupational hazards. Responsible for employee conduct and compliance with all safety policies, regulations and compliance with all OSHA and NFPA requirements
  • Assists with coordination of environmental testing, required permitting and compliance activities with the US Military/Prime Contractor designated representative. Responsible for operation of the power generation facility within all environmental and regulatory requirements and constraints
  • Supervise, manage, and schedule multiskilled level operations and maintenance team members, power generation operators, power generation mechanics and electrical switchgear and relay technicians and administrative/support personnel
  • In absence of Power Plant Manager, completes performance evaluations, implements training programs, addresses grievances, and administer disciplinary actions as required to subordinate multinational employees
  • Enforces implementation of training programs, safety standards/practices, work ethics, LBS company policies/procedures, etc
  • In absence of Power Plant Manager, reviews and approves employee timesheets
  • Assists with maintaining technical library and recordkeeping which documents all procedures necessary to accomplish assigned responsibility
  • Responsible for facility custodianship of work area, hand, power, and shop tools
  • Responsible for department communications activities attend/participate in department meetings Identify department risk/liability and develop work plans to manage ongoing risks as it relates to the operation of the power generation facilities, power delivery and power quality. Be able to articulate concerns and forward to Power Plant Manager and in absence of Power Plant Manager to LBS Senior Leadership
  • Ensure required documentation/reporting is submitted in a timely manner
  • Attend/deliver daily Safety meetings/stand downs IAW with LBS and Prime contractor policies
  • Take ownership of Power Plant to ensure repairs, maintenance, overhauls, etc. are performed with utmost of quality/safety in mind and IAW manufactures service/maintenance recommendations
  • Accountability for power plant staff, tools, manuals, and equipment statusFMC/NMC
  • Attend LBS EHS (Electrical Health & Safety) training and establish a status of CP (Competent Person), AP (Authorized Person) or SAP (Senior Authorized Person)
  • Operate/perform within the behavioral guidelines/policies/procedures put forth by USG, US Military Command, Host Nation, Prime Contractor and LBS
  • Perform internal Power Plant & MV Distribution audits for safety, contract compliance, environment compliance and overall power production/distribution efficiency
  • Reviews all power plant/MV distribution daily, weekly, monthly, annual reports and CDRLs prior to submission to Prime Contractor, US Military and LBS Senior Leadership to ensure transparency and accuracy
  • When workload/mission/staffing levels dictate, assist with daily Power Plant operations to include bringing online/offline gensets, synchronizing/paralleling gensets, taking hourly generator readings, fueling in power plant environment, electrical distribution installation/maintenance, facility maintenance, housekeeping, etc
