Job Title

VMware NSX-T Admin

Job Overview

5+ years of hands-on experience working in the customer support industry supporting VMware network

infrastructure virtualization & Cloud is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

Understand datacenter networking fabric topologies and common architectures deployed in both

Layer 2 and Layer 3-based Networking: In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols

including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting, and Address Management,

firewalling, load balancers, Security trust zones, Management Networks, VPN, and network

design.

Ensuring network reliability and availability through wellplanned and implemented solutions
Maintaining, and supporting networks in NSX/NSX-T
Implementing networking and VXLAN technologies
Monitoring the automation of network deployment and configuration, along with the integration of

infrastructure (computer/storage) automation

Configuring and monitoring network security layers (DFW)
Create policies in the DFW firewall and monitor the FW sessions
Troubleshoot DFWrelated issues
Create VLANbased and VXLAN transport zone
Knowledge on microsegmentation
Application discovery on ADSM tools (VRNI & NSX intelligence)
Monitoring integration with other softwaredefined networking technologies
Improving network manageability and scalability
Supporting the maintenance of the NSX-T infrastructure
Solid understanding and extensive handson experience with configuring BGP, OSPF, EIGRP,

NAT

Strong network problem isolation and resolutions skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
Coordinating activities using the incident, change, vendor, and problem management for business
Continuity and ensuring 24/7 service availability
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Certifications:

VCP6-NV (mandatory)
CCNA/CCNP (Added advantage)

Mandatory Skills:

Routing protocols and switching
BGP/OSPF/EIGRP & switching knowledge

SDN

NSX-T & NSX-V

Secondary skills:
