Responsibilities:
- Converting business requirements into product designs.
- Capturing detailed technical requirements and preparing requirement specifications document
- Consulting customers on product design and execution strategies.
- Preparing detailed project plans, risk management plans, and project schedule.
- Designing system architecture, hardwaresoftware partitioning, and electromechanical interfaces.
- Detailed electronics hardware design, schematics design, simulation of electronic schematics.
- Designing PCB, directing PCB entry team on requirements. Reviewing PCB layout.
- Component selection, preparing and managing bill of materials.
- Conducting peer reviews, providing review feedbacks, approving designs prepared by team members.
- Creating detailed design documentation and design history files for regulatory approvals.
- Preparing prototypes, test plans. Conducting tests, and debugging issues.
- Leading and developing engineering teams planning and assigning work, conducting and attending project meetings.
- Providing technical guidance, and assessing training needs.
- Providing trainings to junior team members
- Preparing weekly and monthly status reports. Communicating project status and project KPIs to various stake holders such as senior management and customers.
- Ensure designs meet all business, quality, regulatory, and safety requirements and ensure a smooth transition to manufacturing.
- Leading and supporting multiple projects as electronics hardware SME
- Coordinating with multifunctional teams
- Preparing project proposals containing technical and commercial details and presenting to customers
- Managing project's costs and contribution margin
- Planning resource needs and hiring required resources with help from Recruitment Team
Skills:
Must Have
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of basic electronics and applied electronics concepts.
- Capable of designing complex analog, mixedsignal and digital electronics circuits.
- Expert in PSPICE simulations using LTSPICE
- Understanding of different sensors, OpAmps, ADCs, and other data acquisition related components and design practices
- Understanding of motor drivers, power supplies, and other drives
- Understanding of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, etc.
- Understanding of 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers, microprocessors and complex FPGAs.
- Capable of doing component selection for NPD and alternate component identification for sustenance and VAVE projects.
- Capable of writing test plans for module testing, integration testing and EMI-EMC testing
- Capable of identifying relevant regulatory and safety requirements and design for the requirements.
- Capable of identifying root cause and debugging issues.
- Capable of laying out at least 8 layer boards for highspeed, highpower and mixed signal designs
- Capable of writing detailed engineering design documentation including requirements specifications, design documents, DFMEA, derating analysis, thermal analysis, timing analysis, etc.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
Good to have:
- Understanding of embedded C and capable of writing basic codes for testing. Capable of understanding complex C codes
- Python programming language for automation, simulations, and mathematical calculations
- Capable of designing various digital filters
- Basics of Power BI and Power Query
- Medical devices design experience
