Jr. Network Admin

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Network Admin to join our team.

As a Network Admin, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, and resolving IT-related issues.

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and software installations.


Responsibilities:

1. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.


  • Format and deploy operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) on computers and ensure system compatibility and stability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues reported by end-users promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware devices, software licenses, and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of hardware and software as per organizational needs.
  • Manage and monitor software licensing compliance to avoid any violations.
  • Assist in setting up and managing network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure smooth data transfer across the network.
  • Educate end-users on best practices for computer usage, data security, and IT policies.
  • Conduct periodic system and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
  • Follow established IT procedures and contribute to the development and improvement of IT policies and protocols.
  • Work closely with the IT team to support IT projects and initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in IT to continually enhance technical knowledge

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.


  • Proven experience in installing and maintaining computer systems, including hardware and software installations.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and their troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with IT inventory management and software licensing practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to provide exceptional end-user support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive and service-oriented attitude, always seeking to exceed end-user expectations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) are advantageous.
  • Prior experience in IT support or a related role will be beneficial.
