Description

Teach technical software's of Film Editing along with Digital Cinema Theory as well as aesthetic concepts for the foundation and junior bachelor's and master's (film and media) degree batches.

Actively mentor students in editing, professional short projects and films. Supporting in departmental administrative work, curriculum development, scheduling, etc.
There may be an additional need to edit content for social media promotionals/ e

- learning material/ master classes/ workshops, etc. for the institute.

The faculty will also need to teach the Certificate course in Editing (Short Course), when needed.
Prepare schedules, lesson plans and curriculum for students based on University guidelines by combination of the most effective, creative and engaging teaching techniques.
Collaborate with other faculty and management in developing the college's curriculum and build an interactive, open and ethical atmosphere in the workplace
Help and guide students by actively mentoring students as editing assistants
Handle content for social media promotions/ e

- learning material/ master classes/ workshops for Annapurna College students

Basic Qualifications:

Educational Background:

A background in Film Editing and/or Visual Communication (passed out before 2009).
Diploma/Certification with specialization in Film Editing/ Video Editing from an esteemed University or recognized Institute

Skills/ Technical Skills (mandatory):

b. Worked in Indian mainstream media or Cinema for at least 3-4 projects.

Desired Qualifications:

a. Excellent communication skills to interact with students using proper terminology of film making & media production while teaching them techniques in editing

c. Knowledge and interest in Indian Cinema, media and entertainment sector will be an added advantage.
