Location - Pune


Role Description:

The open role is for a Business Analysts on the Treasury Planning Automation programme.

Whilst the role is part of the Finance Change Office in Pune, the position requires daily interaction with key Treasury and Change stakeholders primarily based in London, as well as Treasury Technology stakeholders based in Pune.


Treasury at Deutsche Bank is responsible for sourcing, managing, and optimising Deutsche Bank's financial resources and providing high-quality steering to the business on financial resource deployment.

Treasury's fiduciary mandate encompasses the Bank's funding pools, asset and liability management (ALM), liquidity reserves management, Risk in Banking Book and supporting businesses in delivering their strategic targets at the global and local levels.

Further, Treasury manages all financial resources' optimisation to implement the group's strategic objective and maximize long-term return on average tangible shareholders' equity (RoTE).


Programme Summary:


The bank has invested in a planning platform and now has a key deliverable to build an integrated balance sheet led model with end to end plan simulation.

The Treasury Planning Automation Programme is part of this strategic bank-wide initiative and focuses on automating the Treasury planning processes which are currently deployed via tactical processes.

Additionally, the programme aims at integrating with the target architecture of the bank by sourcing data from authoritative upstream sources and centralising the processes into strategic platforms.

Your Key Responsiblities:

The Principal Change Analyst utilises a broad skillset to deliver change on a range of different types of initiatives.

The Principal Change Analyst may perform one of the following roles; (i) stream-lead role on a programme, (ii) leading a stand-alone project, or (iii) being in charge of a key piece of complex analysis or design work.

They will have significant experience across multiple disciplines of change e.g. business analysis, project management, process improvement, and change adoption & testing.


As a part of FC you will be challenged from day one with effecting sustainable change within a complex and diverse landscape - helping the bank to transform its processes, organisation and technology in light of a dynamic and ever evolving Finance industry.

You will act as partner of choice for the bank's Senior Management in developing, detailing and executing the Infrastructure Change agenda.

  • Contribute towards an effective project initiation through engagement of key stakeholders in order to define a clear problem statement, project objectives, target state and success criteria
  • Support navigation of the investment governance process through development of a robust business case, resourcing and milestone plan
  • Drive detailed implementation planning, making use of appropriate project delivery methods, e.g. Agile / Scrum
  • Manage the execution of the project, making effective use of appropriate governance, to deliver to plan and budget
  • Ensure operational readiness activities are clearly understood, owned and executed prior to solution golive
  • Perform project closeout activities including handover of solution to the business line, benefits realisation and ensuring lessons learned are captured and syndicated

Your Skills & Experience:


  • University degree in Finance, IT or similar
  • Interest and/or experience in Finance, including accounting, controlling, banking regulation and organizational design
  • Strong analytical skills and high problem solving competence
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills
  • Strong team spirit and high level of expertise in building and maintaining relationships
