Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Registrar / Deputy Registrar role for Amity University Kolkata located in the Kolkata Area. The Registrar is a key administrative leader responsible for overseeing and managing the university's academic and student records.

This role plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of academic programs, ensuring compliance with academic policies and regulations, and facilitating student success, the role involves the day-to-day management of the registrar's office, including overseeing student registration and enrollment, maintaining student records, and providing administrative support to academic affairs.

The Registrar / Deputy Registrar will also work closely with deans, department chairs, and faculty to ensure adherence to institutional policies and procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

Academic Records Management:Oversee the maintenance and security of academic records, including student transcripts, grades, course registrations, and other important documents.

Curriculum Management:Collaborate with academic departments to develop, manage, and update the university's curriculum, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards.

Academic Calendar:Develop and publish the academic calendar, including registration dates, class schedules, and examination periods.

Student Enrollment:Manage the enrollment process, including admissions, course registration, and degree audits. Ensure adherence to university policies and standards.

Degree Conferral:Oversee the process for awarding degrees, including evaluating completion of degree requirements and issuing diplomas.

Academic Policies:Interpret and enforce academic policies and regulations, ensuring compliance and fairness in all academic matters.

Technology Integration:Utilize and manage student information systems and other relevant technology to support registration and record-keeping processes.

Data Reporting:Generate reports and analyze data related to student enrollment, academic progress, and other relevant metrics for institutional decision-making.

Student Services: Provide support and guidance to students, faculty, and staff on matters related to academic records, registration, and curriculum.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with regional accreditation standards, federal regulations, and other applicable laws and guidelines related to academic affairs.

Budget Management:Manage the department's budget, including allocating resources for staff, technology, and other needs.

Training and Development:Oversee the professional development and training of staff within the Registrar's Office.

Collaboration: Collaborate with other university departments, including admissions, financial aid, and academic affairs, to streamline processes and improve the overall student experience.


Qualifications

  • Ph.
D., Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, or a related field.

  • At least 1015 years of experience in a Registrar or Deputy Registrar role, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

Salary:
₹80, ₹130,000.00 per month


Schedule:
