SQL Server DB Administration

Experience: 6-12 years

Locations:
Mumbai, Pune


Primary Skills:
SQL server admin, Azure, Performance tunning

**Desired Skills & Responsibilities

  • Experience of Installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of SQL Server
  • Experience with Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related Monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Detect and Troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU, Memory, I/O, Waits, disc space and other resource contention.
  • Experience with Backups, restore, recovery models, User permissions in SQL server.
  • Experience of Replication feature
  • Transactional replication configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting the issues
  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time and provide suggestions for the solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
  • Manage SQL Server databases and configure and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Experience with Database Shrink, Database refresh activity, database movement from one drive to another drive
  • Creating Jobs and performing index defragmentation, reindexing and update statistics
  • Upgrade, migration, and SQL Server patching
  • Experience working on Azure SQL PAAS, IAAS
  • Migrating databases from on
- premises to Azure

  • Creating database backup, restore, assign User permissions in Azure portal.
  • Ability to detect and troubleshoot Azure SQL databases performance issues.
  • Experience in configuration of SSIS and SSRS
