Production Supervisor (Mattress Manufacturing Unit)

Position Overview

As a Production Supervisor in a mattress manufacturing unit, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production operations to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of high-quality mattresses.

You will lead a team of production workers, monitor production processes, enforce safety protocols, and maintain productivity standards. Your role will involve coordinating with various departments, implementing production schedules, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Production Management

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Monitor production lines, ensuring smooth operations, and addressing any bottlenecks or issues that may arise.
  • Optimize production processes, implement efficiency improvements, and minimize waste to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Plan and schedule production orders, ensuring ontime delivery and adherence to production plans.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, motivate, and train a team of production workers, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Assign tasks, monitor work performance, provide guidance, and resolve any personnelrelated issues.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide coaching to enhance team skills and performance.

Quality Control and Safety Compliance

  • Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that mattresses meet established standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify defects, implement corrective actions, and maintain product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and increased efficiency.
  • Implement Lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement process changes, technology upgrades, and other improvement projects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the mattress industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
  • Analytical mindset and problemsolving abilities to identify and resolve production issues.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Job Types:

Salary:
₹11, ₹28,455.32 per month
