The Role Responsibilities

Job Role


This is a role within Global Finance Service, to build out Advanced Analytics and MI for Treasury and Finance community globally.


The team supports implementation of complex Treasury and Finance methodologies in an interdependent Tech stack and Process framework by engaging policy, process and technology teams across functions and locations.


The outcomes impact multiple performance management metrics of Bank and is an input to drive strategic decision making for balance sheet optimisation and enables external stakeholder communications.


The role provides an opportunity to interact directly with a range of senior management within Standard Chartered, develop a strong understanding of the Bank and its Finance landscape and drive complex strategic programs and influence how process and technology are built for some of the key metrics that influence external stakeholders such as investors and ratings agencies.


The role suits an individual who can conceptualise, problem solve and possess the tenacity to execute in a dynamic set up.

Project execution across a diverse set of Business, Operation, Technology, and Vendor partners to drive the solution outcome that positively impact Treasury CFO and FPnA functions are essential for the role.


Strategy

  • Working together with various Treasury and Finance stakeholders to provide analytics, visualisation and dashboarding solutions
  • Awareness and understanding of banks IT data architecture and collaborate with technology teams to solve for Analytics requirements.
  • Develop both short term and strategic solutions that help with Advanced Analytics and MI.

Business

  • Develop deep understanding of Treasury and Finance methodologies and metrics to build out Analytics solutions that support P&L reporting, annual corporate plan and budgeting process of Treasury and Other finance forums.
  • Own bottomline responsibility of Analytics solution roadmap and execution.
  • Product manage the Technology build out of Analytics solution.
  • Support the business teams (CFO and FP&A) in the implementation and embedment of MI / Analytics.
  • Develop a strong internal network by
  • Proactively engaging key Treasury stakeholders
  • Representing the team and department at various working groups/ committees
  • Reaching out to other business areas / regions to ensure best practice is implemented.

Processes

  • Deeply understand Bank's FP&A processes, Technology landscape, Internal and External Reporting stack.
This role requires strong understanding of current financial performance drivers, metrics, across Treasury and Finance.


People and Talent

  • Form strong relationships with internal stakeholders in Treasury, Finance and global functions. These typically include FP&A teams, Treasury, Global Process Owner/Managers, Technology senior managers, Architects and Tech Delivery Leads.

Risk Management

  • Work closely with Treasury and Finance teams to understand analytics requirements, benefits/impact for ongoing as well as project deliveries.

Governance

  • Ensure data integrity, security is being used to produce MI and Analytics.
  • Build to ensure availability of systems / data as per the SLA.

  • Bachelor or Master's degree level in finance, technology or related field from a wellrecognized institution.
  • Excellent communication, Strong selfstarter and comfortable with senior stakeholder interaction.
  • Proficient with power point and excel, Tableau, SQL and any other programming languages of choice is an added advantage.
  • Prior experience in Treasury Capital, Market, Product Control, Balance sheet management or FP&A / Performance management and familiarity with FTP.
  • Proven strategic and analytical skills with a strong appetite for defining problems and offering solutions across Technology and Processes frameworks
