1. JOB DETAILS

Position Title:
Superintendent - PED, Technology.


Unit / Division / Department / Section:Q.A. Technology - Process Development & Engineering.


2. JOB PURPOSE

  • Manages Technical Analysis of Processes.
  • Manages Performance Improvement & Opportunity Studies to Improve Process Efficiency and Cost Effectiveness.
  • Manages Feasibility & Technology Study for New Processes, Equipment for Kuwait Steel.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Description

Responsibilities / Performance Measures

Process control

  • To carry out daily production, material consumption & delay analysis of operating units of Kuwait Steel.
Process Engineering

  • Gap Analysis study for analyzing and advising all Kuwait Steel operating Units teams for implementation and process improvement and Eliminating Process deficiencies.
  • Provide daytoday support for production operations. Lead or assist with problemsolving to minimize downtime, maximize throughput, and ensure safety and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with inplant counterparts to implement new procedures as well as changes, revisions, and corrective actions.
Development

  • Develop process engineering initiatives to manage project implementation and testing.
Technical Evaluation

  • Technical Evaluation / Analysis for new process, new equipment's, new plant facilities.
Root cause Analysis

  • Preparing / verifying and presenting the Root cause analysis for process failures.
Training

  • Train and guide resources to improve total performance and productivity.
  • Participate in and ensure proper daytoday leadership of the process technology workforce (Experienced and Fresh graduate)
  • Job-relevant information (BOUNDARIES & DECISION-MAKING AUTHORITY)
  • The job holder has full authority to request for any information related to machinery, equipment, layouts, plants capacities, processes, capabilities, deficiencies, and best practices from the business units.
  • QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Required Qualifications:

Graduate Engineering preferred Metallurgy or Chemical or Process.

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 10 Years of Experience. Exposure in Rebar Rolling mill.

Job-Specific Skills:


  • Excellent Operation and Process Knowledge in Rolling Mill Production.
  • Operational (shopfloor) working experience would be preferred but not mandatory
Should have worked in Rolling Mills & Rebars or caster area in the steel industry

  • Statistical Quality Control Techniques.
  • Computer Skills for data analysis.
  • Communication Skills.
  • Conversant working on SAP systems & good knowledge of Microsoft office tools
  • COMPETENCIES
  • Data Driven, Problemsolving & Analytical Skills
  • Computer literacy: Auto cad / MS Project / Minitab
  • Rolling Mill, Rebars
  • Production Operation Maintenance
  • Pass Design Experience in Rolling Mill Plants

Age - Below 45

Schedule:

  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
