    HCLTech is hiring for Associate Manager Insurance Operations (UK/US Life Insurance and pension)

    Purpose of the role

    • To contribute to the achievement of HCL goals by supporting the objectives and purpose of the Operations team
    • To manage and motivate operations team at offshore and ensure all deliverables are achieved.
    • To coordinate with onshore teams and clients
    • To manage conduct risks and ensure fair customer outcomes.
    • To manage and aid transition to service delivery ensuring that all documentation, procedures and knowledge transfer to stakeholders are approved and completed.
    • To supply appropriate management information as and when required
    • To nurture innovation and drive changes

    Key tasks and responsibilities

    • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of insurance processes defined.
    • To ensure that the team achieves SLA and operational targets; ensure high asset utilization and high people productivity.
    • To set goals and objectives and formulate the Key Result Areas for Team Leaders and Team Members
    • To lead client interactions on behalf of the business unit and facilitate operating unit's alignment to the agreed service standards.
    • To establish/develop good rapport with client.
    • To review and analyze Management Information regularly and identify areas for continuous improvement; encourage and motivate the team and nurture the culture of innovation among them.
    • To be responsible for the business and people metrics of the business unit or process (tracking results, trouble shooting, managing and developing)
    • To lead, motivate, and develop Teams so that they are motivated to meet new business challenges.
    • To continually review risks and controls and develop resources within the team to meet the needs of a changing and challenging environment.
    • To develop a comprehensive succession plan to be agreed and regularly reviewed with his/her reporting Manager.
    • To ensure full deployment of performance management processes like Monitoring, Coaching, one-to-ones etc.
    • To Maintain the attrition level to the minimum through maintaining high employee motivation level and continuous employee development
    • To conduct feedback sessions with Team leaders and team members at regular intervals and also during appraisals
    • To ensure that the team is compliant with all regulatory requirements.
    • Successfully influencing the activities of a group towards the achievement of a common goal and the ability to influence others through qualities such as personal charisma, expertise, command of language, and the creation of mutual respect

    Person Specification

    Education/Qualifications/Training

    • Graduate in any stream

    Specific Job Skills

    • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the administration of life and/or pensions products.
    • Understanding and application of financial concepts particularly in relation to back-office administration
    • Knowledge in Transition Methodologies and experience in handling Transition team on Insurance Business
    • Excellent communication – verbal and written.
    • Excellent organizational and Presentation skills
    • Documentation skills - Preparation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Gap Analysis & Documentation, Process maps etc.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate people to achieve high standards.
    • Solution mindset
    • Analytical thinking, decision making, and conflict resolution.
    • Team management and inter-personal skills
    • Self-driven, result-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on deliverables and high quality
    • Knowledge on the Transition/ Quality Tools like Epiplex, iGrafx, Minitab, PMS etc.

    Experience

    • 72-96 months of overall experience
    • Minimum 36 months of experience in handling Team Management and / or Transition in Insurance domain (Life and Non-Life)
    • Experience in UK Life and Pensions operations
    • Experience in managing projects at client site
