Job Summary:


The IT Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and optimal performance.

This role involves collaborating with various teams to design, implement, and support IT solutions that align with the organization's goals and requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management:


  • Design, deploy, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
  • Monitor network performance and security, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Manage virtualized environments, such as VMware or Hyper-V, including provisioning, monitoring, and optimization.

System Administration:


  • Administer and support Windows, Linux, or Unixbased operating systems, ensuring their stability, security, and compliance with industry best practices.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including patch management, software updates, and performance tuning.

Security and Compliance:


  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments, addressing any identified risks or vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.

Technical Support:


  • Collaborate with helpdesk teams to escalate and prioritize support tickets, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials to empower endusers and support staff.

Project Management:


  • Lead or participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new deployments, from planning and design to implementation and testing.
  • Coordinate with crossfunctional teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and IT trends, recommending innovative solutions to enhance the organization's IT infrastructure and capabilities.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in network administration, system integration, and technical support.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.
  • Indepth knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix), virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, tools, and best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption techniques.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Salary:
₹25, ₹30,000.00 per month
