Are you passionate about IT, experienced in software development techniques and convinced by the business added value of digitalization?

Airbus started its Digital journey. The objective being to transform the company and to prepare it for the future. This transformation includes new global governance, new ways of working and the implementation of digital business services and platforms Airbus is looking for a UI Designer (M/F) to join in Bangalore, India.

Ensure "first-time right approach" on all development

Your Role

You will work on a multi brand system used by 600 active people across 12 countries on 450 projects. Adoption is growing and the Airbus Design System team is looking for a UI Designer to maintain, build and drive the adoption of the UI Kits.

Help us build enablers and drive digitalisation by combining deep experience of UI design and an innate drive to improve existing systems and processes with the creativity to design new solutions to evolving challenges.

You will collaborate with passionate people; other designers, developers working on React, Angular and a Product Owner.

Tasks & accountabilities:

Build guidelines with best practices and examples
-
Encourage UI contributions, through facilitation, support and design reviews

Advocate for best practices that improve accessibility, reliability, quality and consistency

Communicate, promote and accompany the adoption of the system
-
Gather needs from local projects
-
Ensure consistency between UI Kits and Dev Kits
-
Maintenance of the UI Kits
-
Create content for the documentation
-
Improve our custom website and update content
-
Fix issues in the UI Kit
-
Research and exploration for enhancements and evolution
-
Review and optimize design processes
- **Identify and create new components and patterns


Required skills:

-
- 7 years of experience in UI Design
-
Experience on using a Design System
-
Experience working in agile teams, with developers and other designers
-
Drawing skills, ability to illustrate and draw ideas
-
Knowledges on motion design and UI animations
-
Strong knowledge on UI Design tools such as Sketch and Figma
-
Continuous research on graphical trends
-
Experience working in agile teams
-
Able to work independently and as part of a team
-
Ability to identify and translate user needs into viable solutions
-
Advanced level of English

Nice to have
-
Master degree in Interaction Design, UI Design or relevant field
-
Experience using HTML/CSS/JS
-
Understand french, german or spanish language would be a plus
