Description

Machine Learning Model Development:
Take full responsibility for the design, development, testing, and deployment of machine learning models.

This includes translating business requirements into technical specifications, conceptualizing the model design, choosing appropriate ML algorithms, and tuning model parameters to optimize performance.


Data Analysis and Preprocessing:
Conduct comprehensive data analysis to understand patterns, anomalies, and data quality.

Implement robust data preprocessing methods, including data cleaning, data transformation, and feature extraction, to convert raw data into a suitable format for machine learning.


Model Validation and Testing:
Develop and implement validation strategies to test the performance of machine learning models. Use techniques like cross-validation, A/B testing, or confusion matrices to ensure the robustness and generalizability of models.

Performance Optimization:
Monitor the performance of machine learning models on an ongoing basis.

Identify opportunities for improvement, optimize algorithms, fine-tune model parameters, and implement enhancements to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of models.


Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support:
Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and business analysts to align machine learning solutions with business needs. Provide technical support to non-technical team members, helping them understand model outputs and incorporate insights into business processes.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Document the entire process of model development, including data preprocessing methods, model architecture, validation results, and performance metrics. Share insights and learnings with the broader team to promote a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Data Governance:
Adhere to data governance policies and practices, ensuring the responsible use of data. This includes respecting data privacy, ensuring data quality, and maintaining documentation for audit trails.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning, with a strong background in developing predictive models.
  • Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, such as linear/logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, etc.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Handson experience with SAP data is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning, such as Python and related field.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or Scikitlearn.
  • Familiarity with cloudbased machine learning platforms like AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI, or Azure Machine Learning with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to members of a senior management team needed to clearly communicate all aspects, both functional and technical
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of business processes in order to identify opportunities to use technology to improve business processes.
  • Strong project management skills (e.g., planning, organization, prioritization, timely decision making, delegation, directing others, managing and measuring work, etc.) needed to ensure that service improvements are delivered on time and within budget; experience managing organizational transformations projects is a plus.
