Your Role and Responsibilities


Responsible for developing, roadmap planning and maintaining the Enterprise System Management (ESM) tools related to Network Monitoring and Management, providing reactive and proactive alerts that enable unscheduled disruption to IT services to be quickly identified.

This also includes constantly supporting Operations Team with corresponding Enterprise System Management (ESM) tools. The Infrastructure Monitoring Network Engineer is a technical lead for network monitoring related products in the ESM toolset.
The role of Infrastructure Monitoring - Network Monitoring Engineer (Supervising Associate) will centre on the following points

  • Ownership of the Network Monitoring and Management tools within the Enterprise System Management (ESM) solution including
  • Planning & support of tool execution and assembly,
  • Individual tool roadmap planning
  • Patch verification
  • Version verification
  • Interface to tool vendor product development and support
  • Functional enhancements
  • Tool security
  • Level 3 support in the incident management process for these Enterprise System Management (ESM) tools
  • Participation in the overall finetuning process and best practices / standards framework
  • Patch verification

  • Interface to tool vendor product development and support
  • Functional enhancements
  • Tool security
  • Level 3 support in the incident management process for these Enterprise System Management (ESM) tools
  • Participation in the overall finetuning process and best practices / standards framework

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • The role requires the individual to be a technical lead within their scope of the Enterprise System Management (ESM) solution where they are a level 3 Subject Matter Expert in close alignment with the Infrastructure Monitoring Lead.
In addition the role requires decision making skills related to:


  • Usage of Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in the Enterprise System Management (ESM) Network Monitoring tools to develop solutions that will enhance the value these tools bring to EY, and to present these solutions to the Infrastructure Monitoring Lead for final approval
  • Creation and maintenance of documentation to support Event Configuration Technicians within Operations. This includes documentation for patching, new versions and new / enhanced functionality as well as processes like backup, usage and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Validation of patches and new versions for tools within their Subject Matter Expertise
  • Working closely with vendor support to solve issues and restore services quickly
  • Proposal of roadmap for tools within their Subject Matter Expert in close alignment with the Infrastructure Monitoring Lead for final approval

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Good interpersonal, communication, organizational and decisionmaking skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to deal with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure
  • Ability to understand and deal with cultural differences
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise System Management tools, and uptodate Subject Matter Expert knowledge in at least three tools
  • Strong programming & scripting skills
  • Good knowledge of databases (MS SQL / Oracle)
  • Excellent working knowledge in Operating Systems (MS Windows, Linux, UNIX) and/or Networking (WAN, LAN, Firewall) and all associated services like Active Directory, DNS, File & Print, TCP/IP, and Routing protocols
  • English language skills excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong knowledge of SNMP
  • Experience with Moogsoft Platform Architect
  • Moogsoft AIOPS Installation and Implementation
  • Moogsoft Cook books and recipes
  • Good in Python Scripting
  • Understanding of onprem, cloud, and hybrid deployment models

Bachelor's Degree
