Job Description:

As an Oracle DBA, you would be responsible to ensure business continuity for existing databases. You shall also need to plan, deploy or refresh additional database implementations.

• Roles & Responsibilities
• Monitoring health of Production/DR and UAT databases
• Installation /Uninstallation of Oracle database on standalone / cluster (Oracle failsafe) as per requirement
• Refreshing UAT / Backup restoration testing on UAT

• Scheduling database backups

• RMAN/Export
• Recovery of databases if needed
• Data Guard Implementation
• DR Drill activities
• Switchover and Switchback
• Sync check between Production and DR including issue resolution if gaps determined
• Address user issues related to Database
• Database Performance tuning related activities
• Database Patching/Upgrade activities
• Database Audit related tasks
• Database hardening tasks
• Database maintenance activities like index rebuild / stats gather / database archiving or purging
• Requirement
• Sound knowledge and experience in Oracle Database Administration

• Mandatory skills

• Database monitoring, Backup and recovery, Data Guard, Patching / Upgrade
• Added advantage to have knowledge of database security, failsafe cluster setup & MSSQL / MySQL
