Medical Coder - Wound Care and Surgical Services


Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:


Review medical records, operative reports, and other documentation to accurately assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for wound care procedures, E&M services, and surgical interventions.

Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, documentation requirements, and reimbursement policies from Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payers.

Collaborate with healthcare providers, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.

Conduct regular audits to identify coding errors, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.


Stay current with changes in coding regulations, healthcare policies, and industry trends related to wound care, E&M coding, and surgical procedures.


Provide coding education and training to healthcare providers, coding staff, and other stakeholders to promote accurate documentation and coding practices.

Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards in all coding activities.

Participate in departmental meetings, continuing education programs, and professional development activities to enhance coding knowledge and skills.


Qualifications:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential from AAPC or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential from AHIMA.


Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in medical coding, with specific expertise in wound care, E&M coding, and surgery coding.

Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems, as well as knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and coding staff.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and ethical standards in all coding activities.

Pay:
₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
