The Country office contributes to (i) reducing risk factors for NCDs and underlying social determinants by supporting development of strategies and interventions to create health-promoting environments, in line with the national multi-sectoral action plan; (ii) strengthening and orienting health systems to address the prevention, early detection and appropriate management of NCDs and co-morbidities through people-centered primary health care and universal health coverage.
