    What you'll be doing: This role is for a Hardware Development Engineer within the Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) based in Bangalore, Karnataka. Join our ThinkSystem Server Development team, dedicated to becoming the top IT partner in the Datacenter market. As a hardware development engineer, you'll play a vital role in creating innovative and sophisticated server designs that cater to customer and business requirements. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies from Lenovo and our partners to address market needs, as well as craft custom solutions to solve unique challenges.

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering.

    • Translate customer demands into platform architecture encompassing hardware, software, SoCs, and other components tailored for various systems, solutions, and applications.
    • Lead architectural decisions regarding product technology and platform tradeoffs.
    • Influence the development of future products and solutions through impactful contributions to architecture and technology decisions across the computing spectrum.
    • Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware issues, collaborating effectively with other engineers during problem-solving.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on handling intricate hardware issues and seamless teamwork in investigations.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills for different tasks, including customer interactions, architecture design input, and executive briefings.
    • Demonstrated ability to excel in team environments and self-directed work, with a passion for acquiring new skills and knowledge.

    Desired qualifications:

    • Master's Degree.
    • Prior experience in FPGA code development and validation, DC Power circuit design, and/or PCIe bus design, simulation, and validation.
    • Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems and experience with OS virtualization.
    • Strong skills in shell scripting (BASH/Perl/Python and Windows Power Shell).
    • Proven success in hardware design projects involving engineering teams spread across different locations.
    • Business awareness to engage with diverse functional teams essential for project progression from concept to production.
