Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our finance team.As an Accounts Assistant, you will provide support to our accounting department by performing various administrative and clerical duties related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
You will report to the Accounts Head and work closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including verifying invoices, preparing payment vouchers, and reconciling vendor statements
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including updating general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist in performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures
- Assist in preparing and filing tax returns and other regulatory reports
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Provide support to the accounting team on adhoc projects as needed
- Answer inquiries from vendors, customers, and other departments regarding accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other accounting matters
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
