Position Purpose


The Global IT HUB of BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Singapore is in charge of developing and supporting Private Banking solutions for Wealth Management sites worldwide.


In that scope, the bank is looking for a Scrum Master to lead one of the core squads of Services division.

Strong in Scrum methodology, this person must be able to steer the squad to meet delivery commitments, squad priority as well as encourage/maintain squad velocity to achieve forecastable output.

The solution is built around Temenos portfolio management product (Triple'A).

Especially in a banking environment, this person must be able to adapt fast to everchanging stringent IT process and change management.


Responsibilities

  • Team facilitation on Scrum ceremonies (Backlog grooming, sprint planning, standup etc)
  • Coaching teams on Scrum methodology/ practices
  • Tracking of sprint retrospective actions
  • Following up with Team on risk and issues seen in SCRUM ceremonies
  • Ensuring all scrum meetings happen and timed boxed
  • Facilitating user story workshop
  • Assisting product Owner to effectively manage product Backlog items and backlog grooming
  • Able to act as first shield/point for squads in cases where external request comes
  • Help to remove potential impediments of the project and raise escalation appropriately
  • Able to flexibly resolve conflicts (internalworkload, externalother depended teams) by bringing stakeholders together and agree on priorities
  • Able to raise issue to Chapter leads/domain managers in a timely fashion, with validated facts and likely options for further refinement
  • Process champion (WMIS project/ QA governance which includes Project Card for budget, Clarity management, project CAM, GO live procedures etc)
  • Able to motivate and influence team positively (cando attitude)
  • Assist in planning (in terms of squad activities and squad resourcing impacting the mediumterm hiring)
  • Aligning goals and directions with Management and project team
  • Orchestrating priorities and deliverables on production support (functions inscope for the team) in different sites

Specific Qualifications (if required)

  • Bachelor degree (with major in computer science or finance or Engineering)
  • 3 years experience in the private banking or asset management industry
  • 5 years experience (minimum) in IT Development activities
  • 3 years experience (minimum) in Scrum Master activities in IT
  • Proven experience/ track record of leading an agile team as Scrum Master
  • Previous exposure on Temenos Triple'A system is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of process methodology (Example, CMMI) is a plus
  • Experience of business support in a Wealth Mana
