We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Diet Expert to join Freedom From Diabetes.

As a Diet Expert, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive nutrition and diet support to patients with diabetes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping individuals manage their diabetes through personalized dietary plans and lifestyle modifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.

Nutrition Assessment and Counseling:

Conduct thorough nutrition assessments for patients with diabetes to identify their dietary needs, goals, and preferences.
Develop personalized diet plans based on individual patient requirements, taking into consideration their medical history, medications, and lifestyle factors.
Provide ongoing nutrition counseling and education to empower patients in making healthy food choices and managing their diabetes effectively.
Monitor and track patients' progress, adjusting diet plans as necessary.

Diet Management:

Educate patients on carbohydrate counting, meal planning, portion control, glycaemic index/load, and other strategies for glycemic control.
Help patients understand the impact of different foods on blood sugar levels and provide guidance on managing diabetesrelated complications.
Stay uptodate with the latest research and guidelines related to diabetes management and incorporate evidencebased practices into patient care.

Patient Support and Empowerment:

Build a strong rapport with patients, fostering a supportive and collaborative relationship.
Provide emotional support and motivation to patients, helping them overcome challenges and maintain longterm dietary changes.
Assist patients in setting realistic goals and provide tools and resources to support their journey towards improved health and wellbeing.
Conduct group education sessions or workshops to educate patients on diabetes nutrition and selfmanagement.

4.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and uptodate records of patient assessments, diet plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
Prepare reports and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patients' progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Adhere to patient confidentiality and data protection regulations.

Set of Skills and Qualities required:

Multilingual Communication:

Excellent communication skills in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, and Marathi are essential for effective communication and engagement with patients.

The ability to convey information clearly and empathetically in multiple languages is highly valued.

Requirements:

1.

Qualification:
Master Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Nutrition Science and Clinical Nutrition.

2.

Experience:
1-3 years in relevant position
