As a Fashion Designer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our design team and gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the fashion design process.

This internship is designed to provide you with valuable insights into the fashion industry and to help you develop your creative and technical skills.

You will contribute to the creation of new designs, assist in the development of collections, and participate in various design-related tasks.


Key Responsibilities:


Design Development:

Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and create new fashion designs, considering current trends, target audience, and brand aesthetics.


Research:
Conduct research on fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and materials to support design concepts and ideas.


Sketching and Illustration:
Assist in translating design concepts into detailed sketches or digital illustrations, highlighting key features and specifications.


Technical Drawings:
Assist in creating technical drawings and specifications for prototypes and samples, ensuring accurate representation for production.


Fabric and Material Selection:
Participate in selecting appropriate fabrics, trims, and materials for each design, considering factors like comfort, durability, and cost.


Pattern Development:
Gain exposure to pattern making and contribute to the development of basic patterns, ensuring proper fit and proportions.


Sample Review:
Assist in reviewing and providing feedback on sample garments, making note of any necessary adjustments or improvements.


Collaboration:

Work closely with other team members, such as pattern makers, seamstresses, and merchandisers, to bring designs from concept to final product.


Market Analysis:
Support the design team in analyzing market trends, competitor offerings, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for innovation.


Administrative Tasks:
Assist in maintaining design documentation, organizing design boards, and managing design-related databases.


Assistance in Design Presentations:
Contribute to the preparation of design presentations for internal meetings, showcasing design concepts and ideas.


Qualifications:


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • Strong passion for fashion, creativity, and an eye for detail.
  • Proficient in sketching and digital design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of fabrics, têxtiles, and garment construction.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fastpaced and dynamic design environment.
