Hiring CAM Programmer III for Multi National Company.

1 Summary


The incumbent of this role will be responsible for programming and planning of tools for CNC equipment in the most efficient manner.

Working from blueprints, engineering drawings (MBD) and proven processes, the CAM Programmer III will program, set up and assist operations requiring high precision and attention to detail.

The incumbent will be expected to provide technical assistance to other CAM Programmers II.

This position may be required to work on projects when necessary, however, they will work closely with a CAM Programmer IV.

Additionally, the CAM Programmer III will support MM locations globally using proven processes and procedures for machining including hot half's, manifolds and components.


2 Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Generate CNC programs needed to fabricate components for Mills or Lathes, working towards programming with both methods.
  • Review feasibility of work assignments to work centres based on documents provided from engineering.
  • Analyze and write new programs and maintain programs in Gibbs-CAM, Creo NC for the CNC machines, and to plan, coordinate and schedule tool design
  • Verify CNC code using Vericut
  • Working experience in Windchill PLM is essential
  • Working with proven processes, the CAM Programmer III is proficient in the components, manifolds and hot half's areas of manufacturing.
  • Understands existing processes and offers areas of improvement.
  • Prepare, optimize and maintain CNC machining operations in support of production.
  • Prepare CNC programs per tool plan schedule.
  • Follow up engineering change requests, nonconformances and documents with signatures and latest versions.
  • Write operator documentation for the CNC programs.
  • Design and coordinate fabrication of tools required to support CNC operations.
  • Provide feedback to Manufacturing Engineering on tool planning.
  • Troubleshoot CNC programs to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Advise the Supervisor on viability and maintenance of control of changes or modifications to existing procedures.
  • Notify Supervisor when assigned work will not meet timelines.
  • Aid other Programmers when required.
  • Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements.
  • Ensure ISO guidelines are followed.

2.1 Providing services and support to internal and external customers, suppliers**Under the general guidance from the CAM Supervisor, the CAM Programmer III is responsible for constantly analyzing, preparing and executing quality programs for a wide range of CNC turning and milling equipment. Strong attention to detail and an ability to provide timely technical assistance to other team members is required. The incumbent will highlight solutions to technical problems to the Supervisor.


2.2 Key resources:
other people and/or capital and equipment**The incumbent of this role must be able to self-manage daily work schedules. Under general guidance from the CAM Supervisor, the CAM Programmer III may occasionally assist other Team Members.


2.3 Decision Making**The incumbent of this role has completed training and acquired hands-on experience that will allow them to edit programs as required, troubleshooting of programs, equipment, tooling and calculations, as well as manage their workload.

Other required level of technical and/or practical judgment to perform the work**:

The incumbent must have the ability to optimize tool selection, analyze specifications and write CNC programs.

They will process & maintain documentation including process updates, tooling preparation for new jobs (quotes, tool list, and verifying/testing/research tooling solutions).

Undetected errors would result in significant time loss, inaccurate information used for decision-making and profit losses for faulty work.


4. Effort and Work Environment**Physical and Sensory demands are representative of an employee working in a fast-paced office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision requirements are good general vision, ability to distinguish between colors, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is a fast-paced office environment. The noise level is mínimal, and the environment is climate controlled.


Salary:
₹200, ₹500,000.00 per year
