  • Job Purpose

The REMS Excess Inventory planner will support the Research, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain (REMS) organization in reducing excess inventory within our manufacturing plants.


  • This role will collaborate with stakeholders in materials & delivery planning globally to identify, eliminate, repurpose, writeoff, and/or or scrap excess inventory to the benefit of longterm working capital.

Utilize the ERP system as well as Digital Tools such as Excess Inventory and Monalisa to identify, prioritize, and consume excess inventory.


  • Collaborate with the Materials Planning / Delivery Planning Process Manager for improvement to the functionality of relevant tools.
  • Support regional planners / commodity planners in the utilization of excess inventory which may not be identified as an opportunity
  • Following relevant analysis and identification of viable excess, work with engineering resources for disposition / acceptance of alternative material to eliminate excess.
  • Collaborate with necessary resources to purchase and ship excess inventory from one location to where it may be utilized
  • Develop best practices to rapidly identify the root cause for excess inventory to appropriately drive accountability and long term corrective actions.
  • Asapplicable, support regional OBEYA reviews on excess inventory status.
  • You are meant for this job if:

Generally, at least 3-5 years of experience in materials planning or alternative planning areas such as production planning, master scheduling, or long-term planning.


  • Strong written and effective verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP Materials Management module and functionality
  • Industry knowledge from the Oil and Gas equipment and services area is preferred.
  • Experience and/or certifications in Lean Six Sigma
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams of individual contributors
