Job Description - Hospital Billing and Receptionist

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Schedule appointments for patients
• Answer phones and respond to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
• Process payments from patients and insurance companies
• File paperwork in a neat and organized manner
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Assist patients with completing insurance forms
• Follow up with patients regarding their financial accounts
• Other duties as assigned

Billing position may be required to respond to inquiries from patients or their families. This may involve explaining charges or fees, providing information on insurance coverage, and helping patients understand their billing statements.

Maintain accurate records:

A Billing position must maintain accurate records of all billing activities, including patient information, billing codes, and payment details.

This may involve working with electronic medical record systems and other hospital software programs.

Maintain confidentiality:

A Billing position must maintain patient confidentiality at all times, ensuring that all billing and medical information is kept confidential and secure.

Experience - 3 to 5 years' experience in hospital billing and reception
