Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Biology Teacher with an experience in teaching CBSE or IGCSE curriculum to join our school.
In this role, you will inspire and educate students residing at our school, fostering a love for biology and a deep understanding of scientific concepts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an innovative and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of students at various academic levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and learning objectives.
- Deliver dynamic and interactive biology lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, fostering student engagement, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills.
- Oversee laboratory activities, experiments, and projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and providing guidance to students to enhance their practical understanding of biology.
- Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate student understanding and progress accurately. Provide constructive feedback to students to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and behavior, and communicate effectively with parents/guardians and relevant stakeholders regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
- Contribute to the residential school community by participating in dormitory life activities and after school prep classes (as assigned).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Botany, Zoology, Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school, preferably in a residential school environment.
- Teaching certification required (e.g., B.Ed or equivalent).
- Strong content knowledge and expertise in biology concepts, theories, and principles whilst adapting effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to the wellbeing of students in a residential school environment.
