Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE) is an umbrella organisation at IIT Bombay for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing tech start-ups.
It administers a business incubator which provides 'Start to scale' support for technology based entrepreneurship and facilitates the conversion of research activity into entrepreneurial ventures.
We are looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our team for the following role.We are looking for a "Bio-wet chemistry Lab Technician" to manage the SINE BioLab.
Lab technician will be handling high end equipment to analyse samples or guide users to analyse samples related biology experiments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintain the users log, sample details and instrument usage, documentation of charges for all the equipment's
- Ordering and organizing all the laboratory supplies, consumables, chemicals and compressed gases according to safety regulations
- Procurement of laboratory equipment's and documentation for procurement process.
- Organize installations, demonstrations, maintenance and breakdown visits for all the equipment
- Operation and maintenance of instruments and laboratory.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are always followed strictly and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Postgraduate degree in life sciences, biology, microbiology, biotechnology, chemistry or relevant field.
- Knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policy, preventive measures and good laboratory practices
- Ability to perform under timelines in accurate manner, to work in a team, multitasking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum one year experience as a Lab Technician or relevant position will be preferred.
