- Develop and implement Key Account Plans for the aligned accounts in the assigned territory
- Allocate financial resources according to business/account plans
- Regular review of Performance and Progress of implementation of plans against agreed metrics
- Build and Manage Strategic Alliances with key stakeholders, (including HCPs, Distributors, Purchasing Departments, Demand Planning, etc.) and develop long term relationships to achieve key objectives for the assigned portfolio.
- Identify and leverage the influence of KOLs in the assigned territory
- Analyze accounts and assist with development of the account plans (which should include sales, market share, required resources, etc.)
- Leads the inclusion of/enlisting process for respective products for assigned key centers and tenders in the assigned territory
- Establish a Pricing Strategy for tenders in the assigned territory
- Establish the products awareness activities to be in line with business needs and budget
- Work closely with peers, cross functions (marketing, medical, training ... etc.) and SADC leadership team to continually drive a culture of collaboration, support and sharing best practices to achieve the allocated qualitative and quantitative objectives.
- Establish a Key Account Management approach and strategy to manage and focus on growing and maintaining current Key Customers and establish opportunities to bring new revenue by leading both Government and Private businesses
- Tenacity to navigate the Sales Process within the Government and Private Hospitals, creating opportunities for growth in an environment with limited resources to achieve and exceed the allocated sales target on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Leads Sales and Promotional activities with targeted customers within the designated territory
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual in Market Demand Forecast for his/her assigned territory
- Monitors and continuously report competitors' activities and performance also submitting the appropriate SMART action plans and recommendations to maximize performance and mitigate potential risks
- Business acumen to provide valuable and meaningful frequent feedback about Key Opinion Leaders practice and competition and to work with the SADC Management Team to address gaps in performance quickly
- Explore New Business Opportunities, and devise a documented strategic plan to convert such opportunities into reality through e.g. the identification of actions to be taken such as development and maintenance of key relationships and networks with key opinion leaders, government agencies and payers and through supporting medical and scientific initiatives as well as frequent and constructive field visits with key decision makers and committees within the sales area and buying organizations for hospitals.
- Ensure compliance with all the company's policies and codes by demonstrating business ethics and ensure respect of values, local laws, policies, and marketing procedures
- Ensure all activities and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with the high standards of
- ethics and integrity required by the Code of Conduct.
- Extensive experience in South Africa/ SADC Medical Device/ Medical Capex market
- A suitable University Qualification preferably related to the Medical Field
- Minimum of two years competent and consistent performance as Key Account/Sales Lead
- Capex experience with Government and Private Hospital sectors is required
- Strong Leadership and Teamwork skills and ability to align with different parties
- Stable employment history.
- Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 30% including weekends.
- Unrestricted driver's license.
- Computer literacy.
- Established record of delivering sales goals and quotas.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job DescriptionWe're looking for a strategic and inspiring Key Account Manager for South Africa/ SADC to lead the sales activity of our Client's growing Patient Support Systems/ Beds business unit of Hospital Systems and Technology, to ensure patient and customer needs are wholly met.
In this role, you'll be responsible for promoting our client's Patient Support Systems portfolio in South Africa/ SADC for both Public and Private sectors as well as be responsible for Country Business Expansion in other Geographies.
