The Role:
Product Owner, News, Research & Documents

The Team:

You'll join a dynamic, high-impact team that plays an integral role in the Market Intelligence Desktop Product Management organization.

Focusing on the S&P Capital IQ Pro platform, the team is responsible for unstructured data, including News, Research, Key Developments, and Documents.

The Impact:

The S&P Capital IQ Pro platform serves a wide variety of influential professionals across industries and markets to help them make decisions with conviction.

News, Research, Key Developments, and Documents are widely used components of the platform and support many clients' daily workflow.

In this role, you'll drive improvements to relevance and discoverability and help users find what they need, when they need it, with mínimal friction.

You'll work in a high-profile role with a talented global group of developers, QAs, product managers, user experience experts as well as team members across sales and content.

You'll have the opportunity to learn about the workflow needs for a wide range of clients and help define the product vision and roadmap.

Responsibilities:

Review client and commercial feedback to inform the product roadmap for your product area
Manage product backlog and work with Desktop leadership to prioritize new features, enhancement requests, and bug fixes
Define business requirements for new product features and enhancements, including UX, scope, and functionality
Partner with software engineering teams to implement product roadmap and report progress to stakeholders
Assist with development and execution of go-to-market strategies for product rollout/launch

What We're Looking For:

Product Management knowledge, preferably within the field of financial news and data
Ability to oversee multiple projects with varying timelines and across multiple teams
Ability to remain detail-oriented on in-flight projects while thinking strategically about future projects. Be able to identify key questions and make effective product decisions
Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
Motivated, self-starting, willing to take risks and challenge conventions
Possess the ability to work within a group, build consensus and collect and interpret stakeholder feedback
Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment
Agile (Scrum) experience
