Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Intern to join our team in the retail industry.

This internship offers hands-on experience in warehouse operations and logistics, providing an excellent opportunity for learning and professional growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, unpacking, sorting, and storing incoming merchandise in designated areas of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and organization in inventory management systems.

Order Fulfillment: Support the order fulfillment process by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment to customers or retail stores, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order processing.

Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and assist in restocking shelves, bins, and storage areas with merchandise as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels and minimize out-of-stock situations.

Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections of incoming and outgoing merchandise to ensure compliance with quality standards, identifying and reporting any discrepancies or damages to the warehouse supervisor.

Warehouse Organization: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and organizing storage areas to optimize space and efficiency.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of equipment, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records and documentation related to inventory, orders, shipments, and other warehouse activities using inventory management systems and software.

Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a degree program or recent graduate with a focus on logistics, supply chain management, operations management, or related field.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced warehouse environment.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks required for warehouse operations.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse team members and other departments.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems or software preferred.
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a dynamic and evolving retail environment.
