Position Summary
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic Product Owner to contribute across our product portfolio of solutions.

In this role, you are responsible for working directly with key stakeholder teams or mentoring and assisting digital project lead to ensure end user requirements are gathered and curated with the level of quality, depth and detail needed to create the Business Requirements Document.

You are responsible to help coach stakeholder teams on digitization best practices:

not replicating current processes blindly, but reimagining them to take advantage of the efficiency and user experience enhancement that comes from digitization.

You will collaborate with your UX/UI Designer to create an innovative and intuitive user experience and philosophy that is consistent across the entire Ackumen platform.

You are responsible for the integrity of the Ackumen platform and the connectedness, continuity, consistency of philosophy and user experience across the various features inside the platform.

The position is global in nature and reports to the Director of Digital Development.

Job responsibilities

  • Works directly with key stakeholders or assists a digital project lead to understand the objectives, scope and outcomes of the features we are trying to develop
  • Together with Digital Director, takes ownership for prioritization, tee up, development, and deployment of platform features in a consistent way
  • Broad ownership of the Buckman digital platform and responsible for continuity and consistency across all features.
  • Works very closely with UI/UX designers and business analysts to ensure consistent user experience and philosophy across the entire platform
  • Works with Buckman digital project lead (if one is assigned), software architects and external partners to reduce requirements into a well written Business Requirements Document and eventually, into a Functional Requirements Document.
  • Ensures QA requirements are written up front in the form of test scenarios.
  • Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Works with Digital Director to ensure the features development is tested properly and deployed on time and with quality

Competencies Needed for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of experience as one or more of the following: product manager, business analyst, product owner, Regional Digital Manager or any other role that involves development and deployment of digital features etc.
  • Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
  • Ability to dive deep into the details while at the same time, having a higher level of view of platform level connectivity
  • Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including planning, organizing, and managing resources
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours due to the global nature of the team
  • Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Broad understanding of the Ackumen platform
  • Experience working with global teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or a Doctoral degree in computer science, software engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related scientific field
  • Previous experience working with UI/UX designers and software development teams.
  • PMI Membership and PMP certification preferred but not required
  • Issue/Task management tools such as JIRA and Zendesk.

  • Strong problem solving, debugging and solutions design and implementation experience.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time by managing priorities and project timelines.
  • Passion to learn new tools, technologies and practices.
  • Exceptional selfdirection and project management skills
  • Be a selfstarter comfortable working in a fastpaced, startup environment.
