Description

Procurement Executive is responsible for strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers, while building strong and sustainable relationship with the suppliers.

The Procurement Executive's duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.

Work with existing third party manufacturers, and work on cost savings, better commercial terms and quicker delivery timelines.
Identify potential third party manufacturers, relationship building and partnership sustenance.
Experience of working and preparing Cost Sheets - for tablets, liquids, injections, etc.
Ability to manage procurement of raw-materials (API), Excipients, packaging materials for a few manufacturers.
Foster and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment of key business, quality and compliance objectives.
Periodic visits to key suppliers to manage continuous improvement activities apart from new vendor development.
Prepare various procurement plans with competitors and vendors and prepare efficient documents according to present market plans.

Maintain and regular update all Product Catalogs, New Product Permission, New COPPs, New CTD/ACTD Dossiers, Products Under Development for all suppliers
On Time Delivery -Ensure delivery of products are in accordance with targets such as exceeding the set targets of Quality on Time in Full to avoid stock out at site
Price Savings -This role is expected to have a complete understanding of market price trends for the APIs as well as finished products.

Negotiation skills are very important
Secure Supply -Expected to be up to date on market situation and ensure security in supply by introducing right alternate suppliers by closely monitoring the movement of both local and international supply markets.

Expected to maintain multiple sources for sourced products at all the times while meeting regulatory compliance requirementsWorks closely with key stakeholders to develop effective sourcing strategies and ensure implementation including negotiation and execution of supply agreements and quality agreementsMaintain relationships with sellers and different departments to execute all products according to project requirement.

Co-ordination with the Regulatory Department of the manufacturers, and facilitate quick generation of documents required for product registration in foreign countriesPerform assessments on all product and values to maintain quality and facilitate necessary steps for procurement.

(QA/QC activities)Coordinate with suppliers and maintain/reduce rates and maintain high quality standards of products.
Prepare and monitor all regular reports as required by corporate office.
Maintain knowledge on all current trends and maintain procurement pipelines according to corporate standards. Knowledge of current market trends - in terms of pricing, products, new manufacturers, etc. Good analytical and problem solving skills

    Experience 3 to 5 Years
    Qualification B.E-Chemical/ B.Pharm /M. Pharm /B.Sc or MBA with significant experience of Procurement in the Pharmaceutical Industry and working with Third Party/ Contract Manufacturers
    Business or Technical SkillsKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as expertise in "reading" the marketExperience in collecting and analyzing data (Multiple Vendor quotes, Cost Sheets, etc.)Talented in negotiations and networkingBackground in Pharmaceutical private labelling and or manufacturing is a must
