The role

Good risk and control management is the foundation of excellent performance and is a characteristic of a high performing business.

We are seeking an officer to support the development and strengthening of our Business Continuity Management control environment.

Key responsibilities

Actively support the design, implementation and maintenance of our Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework and strategy, using ISO22301 as best practice.
Assist the Business Continuity Manager to define Business Continuity policy, plans, impact analysis and procedures to suit local and global needs.
Support, maintain and oversee clear Continuity and Resilience governance and reporting procedures in accordance with Group governance requirements.
Work globally to deploy impartial oversight and seek improvement whilst retaining established processes.
Deliver analysis to drive development of Continuity and Resilience risk, control and performance indicators.
Assist the Business Continuity Manager to ensure BCM integrates into wider Operational Resilience requirements, including supporting the implementation of mandatory controls as required under respective regulations.
Deliver riskbased Business Continuity testing and oversight, including where appropriate facilitation of scenario and tabletop exercising.
Support to Crisis Management teams, responding to Continuity related disruptions and events.
Assist delivery of improvements to our planning for Continuity related incident readiness to respond and recover.
Assist the Business Continuity Manager to ensure plans and outputs suitably and efficiently inform senior stakeholders including recommending proportionate solutions.

Skills / Experience

Good level of Business Continuity Management and Resilience tools and techniques, including ISO2230
At least 5 years of experience in a similar Business Continuity role.
Experience of designing and implementing policies and frameworks within a diverse, multinational organisation.
Strong communication and stakeholder skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues in a simple manner. Must be fluent in English.
A good standard of presentation and business report writing, with strong experience across the Microsoft product suite.
A relevant membership and certification in Business Continuity.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and work with mínimal supervision in meeting the key responsibilities of the role.
BCI membership would be preferable.
