Roles and Responsibilities

SAP EWM Implementation:

Implement SAP EWM solutions for clients, including system configuration, customization, and integration with other modules like SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP SD (Sales and Distribution).Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand warehouse operations and design efficient processes within SAP EWM to meet business requirements.

Provide end-user training and support during system implementation and post-go-live phases.
Conduct system testing, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure smooth project delivery.
Stay updated with the latest SAP EWM releases and recommend system enhancements to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.

SAP EWM Development:

Develop custom enhancements and reports within SAP EWM using ABAP programming language.
Work closely with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP EWM with other systems such as SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and external warehouse automation systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP EWM interfaces, batch jobs, and performance optimization.

SAP EWM Solution Architecture:

Lead the design and architecture of SAP EWM solutions for complex warehouse environments, considering factors such as scalability, performance, and integration with other systems.

Define system landscape and deployment architecture based on client requirements and industry best practices.
Provide guidance to project teams on solution design, configuration, and customization of SAP EWM modules.
Conduct workshops and presentations to educate clients on SAP EWM capabilities and recommend best practices for warehouse management.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in warehouse management and propose innovative solutions to address evolving business needs.

System Landscape Design:

Lead the design and architecture of SAP landscapes, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability
SAP Installations and Upgrades:

Plan, execute, and oversee SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations to ensure optimal performance and system integrity
Performance Tuning:

Conduct performance tuning and optimization activities to enhance the efficiency of SAP systems
High Availability and Disaster Recovery:

Implement and manage high-availability solutions and disaster recovery plans for SAP environments
SAP Security:

Design and enforce security policies, roles, and authorizations within SAP systems
Transport Management:

Oversee the SAP transport management system, ensuring seamless and controlled movement of transports across landscapes
Patch Management:

Develop and implement strategies for patch management, including the timely application of SAP Support Packs and patches
System Monitoring:

Establish and maintain effective monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address potential system issues
Backup and Recovery:

Design and manage robust backup and recovery processes to safeguard critical SAP data
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving complex SAP system issues
Collaboration with Stakeholders:

Collaborate with project teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the SAP landscape meets business requirements
Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP BASIS configurations, processes, and procedures.

Education and QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an SAP EWM Consultant.
In-depth SAP EWM process knowledge.
Strong understanding of business processes.
Proficiency in scenario definition and testing.
Excellent communication skills to manage business users.

Nice to have:

Understanding of decentralized and embedded SAP EWM knowledge.
