    Description

    Medical Doctor Underwriter– Life and Health

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    Product Development:

    Would be responsible for the accuracy of the health scoring models being developed.

    o Provide guidance and sign off for the classification, extraction and summary results of the

    medical documents

    o Validate the different solutions of providers/TPA for their accuracy and usability.

    o Collaborate with the AI development team to provide medical insights and expertise for training

    and validating AI algorithms used in healthcare applications.

    o Identify areas where AI can be most beneficial in the insurance and healthcare domain, focusing

    on tasks that complement physician workflows.

    o Review and ensure the accuracy and safety of AI-powered healthcare solutions from a medical

    perspective.

    o Bridge the gap between technical terminology used by AI developers and the medical world,

    ensuring clear communication and avoiding misunderstandings.

    o Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI and healthcare to inform product development

    and client engagement strategies.

    Client Engagement:

    Participate in client meetings to understand their specific needs and challenges in the

    healthcare domain.

    o Translate complex AI functionalities into clear, medical terms for clients.

    o Demonstrate the AI solution's value proposition and how it addresses client needs.

    o Build trust and credibility with potential clients by showcasing your medical expertise and

    understanding of AI applications in healthcare.

    o Participate in post-sales support, addressing client questions and concerns regarding using the

    AI solution in a real-world healthcare setting.

    Qualifications:

     MBBS degree from a recognized university.

     Minimum of 7 years of experience as a practicing physician Or Medical underwriting/ CMO role for more than 5 years in a life or health insurance company.

     Strong understanding of medical ethics and data privacy regulations in healthcare.

     Strong Health Insurance Medical Underwriting and Claims understanding

     Should have participated in product development/implementation/framing medical underwriting

    guidelines with insurers

     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

     Deep knowledge of health and life insurance in India and abroad

     Workable efficiency in MS suite would be an advantage.

     Working knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts (a plus).

    Note: This JD outlines the framework however finer work areas can be defined as per projects.
