    Job Overview

    Senior Sous Chef role with 7 to 10 years of experience. Full-time position based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Must be well experienced in Oriental Western Cuisine.

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a busy and high-volume kitchen
    • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
    • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
    • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
    • Creative mindset and ability to develop innovative dishes
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring the quality of food preparation and presentation
    • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective operations
    • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus that are tailored to meet the needs and preferences of the clients
    • Ensure food safety standards and regulations are strictly followed in the kitchen
    • Monitor inventory levels and place orders for kitchen supplies as needed
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
    • Contribute to the development of new menu items and specials
    • Manage and minimize food wastage to maximize profitability
    • Work closely with the front of house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and customer satisfaction
    • Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu items
