We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Head to join our team and lead our procurement department.
Job Summary:
As the Procurement Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire procurement process within our organization.
Your primary objective will be to develop and implement effective procurement strategies, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, supplies, and services required for our packaging operations.
You will also be responsible for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing procurement processes to achieve maximum efficiency.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization's operational needs and objectives.
- Lead the procurement team and provide guidance and support in executing procurement activities.
- Identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities, pricing, and quality to ensure the best selection.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
- Monitor market trends and fluctuations in prices, identifying costsaving opportunities and implementing necessary actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, quality control, and finance, to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manage vendor performance, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Implement effective inventory management practices, optimizing stock levels to minimize costs and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes, implementing automation and digital tools where applicable.
- Stay updated with industry regulations and changes in the packaging market, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the packaging industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing strategies, and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and driving performance improvements.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
