    Description

    Key functions of the position:

     To plan, organize and carry out the internal controls function including the preparation of an audit manual, audit plan, conducting audits.

     Actively participate in the development of Internal Control policies ensuring that they are relevant to company operating environment.

     Develop and implement appropriate operating procedures to ensure compliance with global policies and local laws .

     Ensure compliance with existing company's financial policies and procedures, identifying & proposing modifications as needed.

     Conduct risk assessment of departments/functional areas in accordance with timelines and propose appropriate controls to mitigate risk.

     Obtaining, analyzing and appraising data to create an informed, objective opinion about the adequacy and effectiveness of the system, and the efficiency of the performance of activities under review.This would include

     Identifying key control points of the system and auditing the departments.

     Verifying the documents received to ensure that all required documentation are done as per the laid down process.

     Checking the account ledger to ensure whether the transaction is posted appropriately and conducting regular review of supplier/contractor's ledgers and expenses.

     Carrying out physical verification of Inventory and Fixed Assets at regular intervals.

     Carrying out analysis of Project costing and verifying project related deliverables.

     Identifying loop holes in the process or system if any which is observed during the incurrence of expense, approval of bills, and subsequent accounting and processing of payments.

     Discuss audit findings and recommendations with functional heads/ department managers and report significant issues to senior management.

     Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports.

     Identify areas of financial and administrative strengths and weaknesses and develop best practices.

     Review the responses to internal and external audit management letter queries to ensure that recommendations are implemented; follow-up on audit action plan to ensure that all action items are resolved before the next annual audit.

     Evaluate information security and associated risk exposures

     Provide management with periodic reports on compliance with FIL Standards of excellence.

     To conduct any reviews or tasks requested by Management.

    Desired Profile:

     B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CA.

     7~10 years experience in accounting, finance, auditing or Business Management in a rapidly growing business

     Experience in writing internal policies and procedures and process evaluation and documentation

     A demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and the prevalent best practices.

     Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

     Strong analytical skills. Detail oriented and ability to work and interpret figures and other financial information.

     Strong written and oral communication skills

     Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

     Excellent commercial and financial awareness
