Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Roles and Responsibilities:


1.


Teaching and Curriculum Development:


  • Deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons for Classes 11 and 12, adhering to the curriculums.
  • Develop and implement wellstructured lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to intellectual exploration, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
  • Integrate innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Stay uptodate on the latest advancements in mathematics education and curriculum changes.

Assessment, Evaluation and Student Support:


  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their mathematical skills and understanding.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.
  • Offer individual support and guidance to students who are struggling with specific concepts.

Residential School Environment:


  • Contribute positively to the residential school environment by fostering a sense of community and belonging among students.
  • Participate in afterschool activities or clubs related to mathematics, such as math olympiads.

- Maintain close communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Applied Mathematics degree is a plus.
  • Teaching certification required. (B. Ed. Or any equivalent certification).
  • Prior teaching experience at the secondary level, particularly with Class 11 and 12 students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices.
