Remote role:

At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home.

We have a structured approach to hybrid working meaning that colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours).


Introduction:
Support the delivery of the Asset Servicing strategic platform.

There will be multiple initiatives as part of the overall project, multiple asset classes and functional areas, working with the team across global locations.

The role will require working collaboratively with colleagues in multiple locations including London, Glasgow and Whippany and multiple teams, including Tech, Operations and the vendor.

You will have opportunity to support workstreams from inception, through delivery stages through to business go live and benefit realisation, demonstrating your ability to successfully deliver within budget and agreed quality and governance standards.

This role will require collaboration and positive attitude to support significant change

What will you be doing?

  • Support the PM with driving the agreed project roadmap, delivery, and planning, ensuring that plans are developed and tracked to appropriate standards, are integrated effectively across all work streams, are unambiguous and achievable, and dependencies are clearly understood and managed.
  • Assist the PM to ensure project/stream status reporting is transparent, informative, and timely and relevant to the audience.
  • Support the PM with the effective governance of the project, clear RACI within team and dependent other teams, appropriate WG/forums. Ensure that Bank technical, risk and other standards and compliance requirements are met, and that the governance framework is comprehensively defined and firmly embedded across all areas of the Project.
  • Assist the PM to engage and facilitate across workstreams/delivery teams to identify and proactively manage risks and issues; support teams to remove blockers and provide proactive management of risk issues and change control to mitigate delivery challenges.
  • Ensure agreed project artefacts are created, maintained, and distributed as required and support transparency and knowledge share across functions/teams and stakeholders as required.

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to face off with various levels of seniority
  • Proactive and delivery focused, with ability to work under pressure
  • Able to multitask and adapt to changing requirements/priorities and context

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience of working simultaneously on multiple deliverables, to effectively prioritise, to track actions and to drive to completion high-quality delivery in an efficient and proactive manner
  • Exposure to problem solving. Ability to support analysis to understand specific business issues or problems in greater depth and to identify and communicate solutions.
  • Has operated in roles facing off directly to stakeholders; a track record of successfully managing stakeholder relationships is definitely preferred.
  • Solid level of competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in supporting projects
  • Good knowledge of Barclays governance framework
  • Experience of practical use of use of Jira/Rally, Teams and Confluence
  • Working in an Agile Development environment (Scrum/Kanban/XP)
