Description

Operation Management

• Experience in manufacturing alloy steel grades through Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) route.
• Experience in setting up steel manufacturing facilities is an added advantage.
• Accountable for overall performance of steel making and alloy steel plant production in terms of quality, volume, efficiency, productivity, cost, and people management.
• Ensure efficient organizational and operating processes to meet delivery commitments aligned with market demand and forecasts.
• Coordinate with top management and other departments to identify opportunities and ensure upkeep of operating equipment and facilities.
• Analyze, decide, and rectify process abnormalities to maintain smooth operations.
• Initiate changes and innovations to improve work methods, job safety, and equipment utilization.
• Lead the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) team to improve steel quality and develop processes for forging quality alloy steels and stainless steel.
• Reduce tap-to-tap time and significantly cut production costs by optimizing addition patterns.
• Knowledge and experience in converter steelmaking, special steelmaking in Vacuum Arc Degassing (VAD) and Ladle Furnace (LF) operations as a Shop In-Charge.
• Extensive experience in commissioning steel melting shops.

Project Management

• Plan, monitor, and control projects including engineering and procurement coordination.
• Manage site and construction activities, resource planning, materials management, and vendor development.
• Oversee safety management and ensure quality assurance during project execution.

Quality Management

• Experienced in ISO-9000 procedures, 5S methodology, and Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Strong background in metallurgical quality assurance and quality control.
