    Description

    Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:

    Strategic Focus:

  • Manage the delivery of the project with technical expertise.
  • Contribute to the project by resolving blockers and offering solutions.
  • Provide business data migration services professionally.

    • Operational Management:

  • Connect with stakeholders to understand the development objectives.
  • Collaborate with the development team to meet delivery timelines.
  • Provide solutions to technical challenges faced by team members.
  • Coordinate with TA/TBA, SDM, Technical Lead, and Testing team to resolve blockers.
  • Maintain code quality and reusability according to LinkGroup standards.
  • Implement process improvements to ensure bug-free products.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and technology updates.
  • Provide support to the development and production environments.
  • Participate in database upgrades and migration planning.
  • Raise change controls and defects as necessary.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Share Registry and Funds Administration.
  • Provide relevant requirements and advice for data transformations.
  • Prevent system downtime and performance degradation through design, development, and maintenance procedures.
  • Identify and address problems by understanding existing and new applications, system capabilities, and limitations.

  • Contribute to the project team's delivery by providing support and expertise.

    • Governance & Risk:

  • Follow project and operational frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Comply with documented Information Security policies and principles.
  • Ensure all data migration activities adhere to established audit requirements.

    • Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in data migration and database development.
  • Experience using ETL tools like SSIS, Informatica.
  • Development experience with Oracle and MS SQL database objects.
  • Working knowledge of reporting tools like Power BI, Qlik, SSRS, Alteryx, WebFocus, Xceptor, etc.
  • Experience in delivering successful Data Migration initiatives across complex environments.
  • Solid technical background in the Data Migration landscape, including:
  • Data cleaning, updating, editing, validation, and conversion techniques.
  • Data management, modification, manipulation, and replication.
  • Database concepts like tables, data types, instances, fields, connection strings, records, and protocols.
  • Relational, hierarchical, and object-oriented database architectures.
  • Good understanding of database architecture, integration issues, third-party reporting, and data extraction tools.
  • Knowledge of system testing procedures.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with structured programming methodology, data analysis, and design skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with staff at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and respond to user requirements.
  • Project and time management skills.
  • Availability to provide after-hours support.
  • Broad knowledge of or exposure to Superannuation Administration, Share Registry, or Financial Services.
  • Ability to work under pressure, balancing competing priorities for timely outcomes.
  • Strong team focus and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products.
