PURPOSE OF THE ROLE / FUNCTIONAL CONTEXT:

This position will be responsible to support in driving logistic operations for the company, work closely with business partner to strategies supply network operation, drive productivity in logistic cost (freight & warehousing) and Inventory management at PAN India level.

It involves monthly reporting, operational variance analysis, annual operating plan development, internal compliance and control reviews and cost improvement analysis.

Development of long term Supply Network Design and identifying value optimization opportunities is a key deliverable.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Driving overall financial cycle for logistic operations
  • Developing robust Annual plan, followed by quarterly forecast
  • Driving cost review process to ensure adherence to annual budgets and leading variance analysis discussion with key stakeholders in India and regional team
  • Managing the cost efficiency program (freight & warehousing) with periodic performance review on key financial & operational indices and developing a cost roadmap with business leadership.
  • Driving productivity plan for the logistic operation
  • Freight, warehousing, Copacking and material write off. Responsible for tracking and reporting for productivity projects
  • Responsible for Inventory management
  • DIOH. Detailed RCA on Inventory movement.
  • Month end stock variance report and explanation to Finance Controlling team
  • Partnering CS&L team for Long term plan on Supply network designStrategizing warehousing structure and freight (Inbound & Outbound) network
  • Leading Inventory write off control plan and inventory liquidation plan with Demand planner and category team
  • Drive process improvement through benchmarking within and outside the organization
  • Preparation of capital budgets for the business vertical, Evaluation of financial viability of capital investments. Monitoring and controlling the capital spends and driving capital stewardship
  • Maintaining accounting process and system hygiene with adherence to SOP's
  • Driving effective risk management with robust finance processes including SOX controls
  • Interaction with auditors (Statutory, Internal, Sox) with overall responsibility for the financial controls for logistic operations
  • People development, including embedding of high performance work systems culture, implementation of rigorous performance appraisal (KRA), closure of PDP process and training system for subordinates
  • Ensuring that the records/returns required under various commercial laws are kept/submitted properly and uptodate, and also ensuring that various commercial laws are complied with.
  • Working with the legal and central taxation team on handling tax issues.

Experience Required

  • 8+ years of experience with extensive experience in the finance function of a MNC or a Large Organisation.
  • Must have finance experience (Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain) and people management experience.
  • Preference for strong Supply Chain finance background
  • Sound understanding of the consumer goods industry and fx/commodity markets worldwide

Qualifications
Qualified Degree in Finance or Accountancy from a recognizable University,

CA or MBA From Tier 1 institute

  • Ability to establish short and long term goals
