Introduction:
The role holder will be recognised as a technical expert in their area of expertise i.e. Internal Reporting and various reporting related transformation / dashboarding through new age tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python etc.

The role holder will undertake tasks across SBU / Cluster within Internal Reporting and will produce regular analysis of key business issues to support the delivery of business strategy and performance.

Responsible for enhancing existing processes, reporting and controls whilst ensuring the flawless execution of BAU.

Driving through efficiencies and process improvements standardising processes across SBU's where possible and through various transformation initiatives including dashboarding using new age tools.

What will you be doing?

  • Support Development / Transformation of internal reporting suite and MI using Tableau and advanced Dashboarding tools
  • Supporting analysis and insight into key performance drivers, business risks and opportunities and decision support to senior management.
  • Preparation of variance analysis; ensuring a sufficient level of understanding of the key issues driving financial performance
  • Own and be responsible for queries raised on all output/deliverables
  • Supporting adhoc requests ensuring that we meet high standards to provide a timely response to all queries
  • Ensure strong processes are in place with strong control environment, adhered timeline in order to deliver accurate information in a timely manner and to the highest standards, allowing time for review by line manager and finance management.
  • Adhere to all the IR Controls and develop and implement robust controls mechanism in all processes managed

  • Commercial and Financial acumen
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience in Tableau, Alteryx, Python especially in the area of Reporting transformation
  • Understanding of value based management techniques
  • Problem solving, analytical skills and financial analysis
  • Proven influencing, relationship building and communication skills with senior stakeholder management

Skills that will help you in the role:
Engineering graduate or MBA with relevant technical skills

  • Experience of financial services industry
  • Broad business and industry knowledge and experience

  • Confident and assertive manner. Develops relationships and manages stakeholder's expectations professionally
  • Displays integrity, initiative, commitment and credibility through interactions with colleagues and clients
  • Works well in a team and maintains good relations with team members. Shows enthusiasm and diligence and ensures team motivation is optimized.
Technical Knowledge

  • Continually striving for process improvement
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP BW, QLIKVIEW or BUSINESS OBJECTS and strong understanding of MI systems and processes would be an advantage

  • Ensure adherence of team control requirements
  • Escalates risk and opportunities appropriately
  • Has the mindset to strive to identify potential control breakdowns in process, also demonstrated with effective procedure manuals
Business Skills

  • Has the initiative and ability to break down problems into components parts and resolve them. Can solve problems effectively and creatively
  • Assist the MI lead in coming up with innovative, creative and scalable solutions. An understanding of the business cost drivers, project delivery, an ability to fully utilize the financial systems and available data is required.
