    RecruitNet International Ltd specializes in relocating qualified professionals throughout Ireland and overseas, guiding them through professional registration, job placement, visa, and employment permit processing.

    We are seeking a Senior Medical Scientist in Clinical Chemistry for a Private Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee and manage the laboratory's employees, ensuring proper assignment based on patient needs and delegation for safety.
    • Provide consumers with effective service while ensuring adherence to guidelines and standards.
    • Ensure compliance with the laboratory's record-keeping policy.
    • Collaborate with the Pathology Management Team to establish protocols for incident prevention and management in the laboratory.
    • Support staff research and continuing education initiatives proactively.
    • Assist the Head of Department/Laboratory Manager in financial planning and analysis for proposed investments in the pathology division.

    Requirements

    • Hold a clinical science qualification and have at least four years of experience as a full-time medical scientist in a clinical diagnostic laboratory.
    • Possess a Medical Science Bachelor of Science degree.
    • Hold a postgraduate NFQ Level 9 degree or equivalent, confirmed by the Academy of Clinical Science and Laboratory Medicine.
    • Pass the Institute of Biomedical Science's Fellowship test if awarded before 1999.
    • Have four continuous years of experience as a medical scientist in a clinical diagnostic laboratory since qualifying.
    • Be enrolled in CORU, eligible for membership after coursework completion, or in the process of state registration.
